ANIMATION TUTORIAL 

SPRING DANCING FLOWERS

As Spring is here for many of you I thought I could make this tutorial telling you how I made these dancing flowers.

This is what we will be doing

Supplies needed :

You can choose the flowers you want. You can draw the eyes and mouth or I will attach something to use on the flower face later.

Filters : Richard Rosenmann - Pinnochio  or Filter Distort - Shear

I attach also the stem  for the flower, you can do it with your preset shape tool also.

You can do your own flowers using Preset Shape Tool... I made these ones and I added them some leaves on the stem.

And you will make they dance just listen the song you want and change the velocity of frames :)

Open your tube flowers on PSP - Duplicate and shut the original

You have to choose two colored flowers from this tube flowers.

Open your eyes tube and the lips you want to use.

Open a new large transparent layer  - we will crop it later. I used 800 x 600 canvas

If you want to do your own flowers.. Follow these steps:

1.-  Preset shape Tool and look for Flower 2

2.- Choose a color for your flower and put as background color and use a bit darker color as  foreground color

Draw a flower on your canvas and then   on your layer pallete right click and Convert to raster layer.

3.- With your Magic wand select the center of the flower - Now go to Selections - Modify - Expand :2

5.-Effects  - 3 D Effects - inner bevel with these settings:

6.- Layers - Merge visible

7. Open your stem and Copy - Paste as a new layer and put this layer down the flower

and Layers - merge Visible

8.- Now do the same steps to do the other flower and choose another color for this one. Rotate the flower  30º  left before adding the stem . You will have this:

Add the stem and then hide layer 1 - the one with the first flower we made - and Layers - Merge Visible

10.- Now unhide the layers and you will have the two flowers.

Add the eyes and lips to each flower.

Be Careful and hide each flower when you merge the lips and eyes in each flower.

You can add leaves to the stem also, if you like

12.- It´s time to make them dance :-)

Rename the flower in your Layer Pallette

13 .- DUPLICATE  each flower 5 times  and put like this in your Layer Pallette , to have one blue flower and rose flower alternate:

Hide all layers except one of the blue flowers,the one at the bottom

Go to Effects - Distort filter - Shear. Look at the position of the little nodes

14 - Hide the blue flower and unhide the layer with the next - the rose one:

Effects- Distort - Shear and  press DEFAULTS to make the line go to the center again

and look at the position of the nodes now. You move the nodes with your mouse:

15.- Now  UNHIDE the blue flower and Merge these two flowers. Hide this merged layer. Unhide the next blue flower.

Effects - Distort - Shear - and these settings

17.- Next steps is always the same, but you can put   the flowers one taller than the other to make them more pretty dancing :-)

Like this.. - you´ll have to cut a bit the stem : look at this shot:

18.- After applying the filter in both blue and pink flower you will have 5 MERGED LAYERS.

UNHIDE ALL THESE LAYERS AND CROP

BE CAREFUL AND DON´T CUT ANY PETAL OF THE FLOWER- SAVE AS A PSP FILE

19 - OPEN ANIMATION SHOP and look for the PSP FILEyou saved and open

play animation and see how the flowers are dancing. If you see they dance fast., you can change the frame properties.

Edit - Select all - Animation - Frame properties and I wrote 17.. it depends od the song you will choose   for the flowers :-)

IT´S DONE!
